Tammy is a professional genealogist with over 27 years of experience in family history, conducting research, workshops, and lectures – nationally and around the world. She specializes in investigating Canadian, Indigenous, French Canadian, UK, Irish, Scottish, American and Italian backgrounds. Tammy has written and published two Genealogy motivation books and has written over 1000 genealogical articles for various offline and online newspapers. Her written works of over 100 biographies of seniors from Northern Ontario have also been published in the Near North Senior.

She has Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, her Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, Horticultural Therapy Certificated from the Toronto Botanical Gardens and is studying at George Brown College for her Garden Design Certificate.  She is a writer of poetry and short stories as well as an artist who paints in watercolours, acrylic, oil, ink and experimental media.

Tammy is a member of the The Mattawa/North Bay Algonquins of Ontario First Nations, Native Women’s Resource Centre in Toronto, The Turtle of Circle Lodge, Native Women’s Association of Canada, Association for Professional Genealogists (APG), Ontario Chapter APG-(Past Chair), Ontario Genealogical Society, Genealogical Speakers Guild, and an Ancestry.ca Advisory Board member.

Tammy is from North Bay, Ontario and now lives with her husband Clark in Alliston, Ontario.
