Detailed Information

Sha Ma Sha, a once childhood term of endearment, is being transformed into a centre for connection, healing, and adventure.

“Sha Ma Sha was a household word when I was growing up—I never knew the precise meaning… just that it conveyed comfort and the spirit of human connection. Now I’m giving the phrase new life.” —Daphne March

ShaMaSha offers some of the best soul-healing, revitalizing retreats throughout Newfoundland/Labrador, creating memorable life-change experiences. It’s a place where people come to learn, heal, and connect with one another and the land through healthy eating, meditation, yoga, hiking, and traditional indigenous practices. The founder, Daphne March is very proud of her MI’Kmaq heritage, her people, and land in which she grew up.

Working with quality community partners, guests can expect breathtaking scenery, fun activities, nutritious and delicious meals, and restful overnight stays. It’s an opportunity to hang out with the locals, to take in sunrise/sunset meditations, beach fires, and storytelling within a safe, alcohol and drug-free environment.
